Backpain? HERES A FREE SIMPLE SAFE SOLUTION!

Well if you are reading this, its not a spam message. I’m not selling anything to you and this isn’t some fake person spreading nonsense. No, I have links to prove I’m real AND besides this doesn’t match a traditional generic spam site.

Anyways, I have Lower back pain. Actually I have chronic back pain that keeps me from some sports, activities, doing work effectively, and relaxing. In teens is from a condition that is called Lordosis. It is that your lower back muscles aren’t strong enough to keep your back postured and straight. This causes the abdominal muscles which are used regularly and therefore stronger by default pull your back forward causing a arch in your lower back that hurts and can lead to scoliosis if untreated by physical fitness. Even if you participate in sports and do regular physical activity its common to not train this muscle because its so unused.

What to do about this? well there are 2 things I will recommend. These are basically exercises to strengthen your back. And they aren’t rocket science. They feel like stretching but it works.

1st Method:

Knee to Chest

1.Lie on your back. Bend your right knee to your chest.

2.Grasp your thigh under the knee with your arms. pull it down tightly against your chest. keep your left leg flat on the floor.

3.return to the beginning position. repeat with your left leg.

4.pull both thighs to your chest and hug them. repeat the exercise up to 10 times.

2nd Method

Double-leg lift(Do on table or bench)

1.Lie facedown on  a table(or bench) with your leg extending off the end. With a partner holding your upper body, lower the legs to the ground if you have no partner grasp under the edge of a table.

2.lift your legs until they are even with the top of the table.

@@@@@@ DO NOT lift any higher. You might lift one leg at a time until you are able to lift both legs at once. IF YOU LIFT HIGHER YOU WILL HURT YOUR SELF!

3.Lower to the starting position. Repeat the exercise up to 10 times.

 

(I do not take reposibility for any injuries you may cause to your self by doing this, and I’m not liable if you tell someone else to do it and they hurt them selves because you read it here. All I can say is be careful and good luck… what else can I do? Cause I’m in no way a doctor or anything. This information comes from a Fitness book by the way.)

[Well it turns out everyone that I really have a scoliosis so my back tries to staighten it and through the years has gotten super strong which is why I do very well in my back posture and health self tests. But from being constantly strained my back muscles get knotted up and also are very painful. Doing these exercises will help avoid this same thing since the solution is to get them EVEN STRONGER so that they don't tire out as much or even at all. massages are almost a must with this. I will be posting about how to self massage your self soon.

ALSO! Wading in a pool shallow end will help strenghten your back without strain on your joints and spinal cord(with contact with the ground). It's probably the best of any of these exercies but doing the above is recommended in a fitness book, probably because they are easiest to do on a regular basis since not everyone has a pool to swim in  or go to to swim in. I Think beaches would also be ok and lakes for sure. Just make sure to go waist high for whatever you choose to do this exersise in.])

This movie is amazing, I mean Clint Eastwood does an amazing job and so do the other actors. It sucks you in to a story that is very emotional and so deep that it connects you to the characters. At least for me cause I mean… I mean i don’t want to give anything away its all really good. Trust me I took a good hard look at the reviews and its a great movie.

Watch it cause its worth your 500 pennies($5 for the slow)

Pubic Serivce Annoucement:BACK UP YOUR FILES

This happens every so often to everyone. Your moving files and they disappear, copy and corrupt, or just plain never got copied and then were deleted. The last one usualy happens to me. Not that I don’t try, and really this time it shouldn’t have happened at all. But it did.

I lost 20 days of work on a project that is super complex to me, not only because of my age but because of my level of experience. THAT work was basicly my ONLY proof I could make and finish making a Object Oriented website backend. Sure the Website won’t look any different. Why should it? It hasnt been changed for a long time other than some cleaning up which is simple.

The BIGGEST thing that I lost was my Administation Application for my website. Guess what part of my almost done website and admin application was supposed to do? BACK UP MY PROJECTS!!!! Ironic right? The very applications being made to protect my projects were lost because they weren’t properly backed up. It would have been the best project I could ever make. Making my project development for possible future clients seamless, but no ofcourse not.

Worst thing? Its all my fault… I lost all my work because of my OWN stupidity. I’m a smart guy, and a geiunous for my age in computers… that said I still lost files. You would think I could manage files but reality is it can happen to anyone.

Thats why I am making this P.S.A. to let people know the importance of backing up your files or you’ll end up like me and lose 20 days of bain busting work that took many many numerous hours to complete.

Here is what you do on a Windows based comptuer…

1. Get a Flash drive and on your computers
2. Go to Microsoft.com and download Synctoy 2. Then install it and if needed the .Net framework 2.0
3. Make a Centralized place to save all your files. Don’t save them all over your computer because then you’ll never find them all and back them up.
4. Set up synctoy to syncronize that folder with another folder in the thumb drive
5. You need to do this whenever you make changes. If your too lazy to do that, then I recommend Daily syncs. At least weekly automatic syncs.
   NOTE:You will need to have the usb stick in the computer for it to sync.
   INFO:You can use an external harddrive for this too.

Cubans…

Off the coast of Florida only 90 miles south we have Cuba, the largest island in the Caribbean. This island has been fought over and turned over many times in just the past couple hundred years. Even just the 200 years America has been around its changed hands at least twice. Currently, and for the past 40-50 years, a communist government is in place. This is lead by a horrible dictator who I want nothing but hell for. His name is Fidel Castro. The Cuban government used to be a democracy before the communists. Actually we were great allies because we even had Guantanamo bay military base there. Which is TECHNICALLY there illegally now since we don’t pay the “rent” we are supposed to pay to have that land… ANYWAYS. Short story how Castro got power. Castro married a girl whose brother was in the Cuban congress. Castro basically told him all of his plans since they were family. Castro then got a bunch of kids, like you and me and gave them weak rifles and got them to attack a military base! Nothing but weak and worthless rifles. Castro and his brother mysteriously got lost. Coincidence? I really don’t think so considering this is Castro. Then he was going to jail and was convicted. Congress wanted him to have amnesty. The congress man that was family of Castro TOLD them what he would do EXACTLY. It all came true when they voted him amnesty from the horrible crime. Now let’s skip to the government is now set up. The Cubans wanted freedom back. So they formed a rebellion backed by the United States. My own grandfather was in it. He was just a doctor, not a solider by trade or anything, just a freedom loving doctor. Kennedy called off support for the Cubans at the last minute, but it was too late the Cuban rebels attacked and then were all captured or killed. That’s why I dislike Kennedy and my father VERY MUCH dislikes him. My grandfather was captured. For the next 20 some odd years he was tortured in a Cuban prison. The crime? He was a political prisoner. My father endured his childhood as a political out cast and without a father. Not because he left, but because he was captured in the pursuit of freedom. My father was a rower BUT he wasn’t allowed to go any further at a certain level because of my grandfather. They received like a pound of rice a month, like everyone else. Whatever the government could give them that day. My grandmother had to erase and reuse notebooks every year for my dad because they couldn’t afford new notebooks. He illegally listened to American radio in hiding. A HORRIBLE crime in Cuba. He had kids who were friends with him who were actually spies for the government trying to see if he was doing anything they didn’t like. If this isn’t enough to think there is something SERIOUSLY wrong in Cuba get this… They were supported by Russia and the Soviet Union. When they went under… guess what happened to Cuba? That pound of rice per month turned into like half that. Since my father’s family was not welcome in Cuba they allowed them to leave to the United States. There at 18 my dad went straight to a school to learn English so that he could work and begin doing something since the government did not allow them to leave with anything of any value. After that he went to college and has bachelors in Electrical engineering and owns his own Programming Company named Simple Software solutions. He has worked 20+ years for various companies including IBM, Crossmatch, and Tyco. You can see Crossmatch security systems at airports and when getting on a cruise or checking in when you need to take a picture or put a finger print. They even have stuff at some stores. They provided the hardware and my dad helped provide the software for elections in Iraq.
This story about the hardships of my father was not unique in Cuba which is why Cubans have wet foot dry foot policy but not for Haitians and others. You may understand now why Cubans are the only Hispanics that vote conservative. This is also why I naturally feel very tense towards government control of any kind. Since it is eventually manipulated, fails, or worst succeeds at controlling the people.
This is somewhat shortened though because it would take a while longer to pull everything together. Ask Questions, I will try to answer them as best I can.
OH and I still think socialism is a reduced form of communism. [Smiley]

Personal thought about some major companies…(Coke, Microsoft, McDonads etc..)

You know I was talk to my dad the other day and reading on the internet the same stuff I read from Linux website and window websites and mac websites… All of them.
That one is better than the other and why linux hates windows… BLA BLA BLA WHOLE other topic but just giving you background to see how I thought this somewhat weird idea up.

I began to think why they hated micrsoft so much and the first thing that came to mind was because they were big and didn’t listen to their customers.
Then I remembered how people bad mouth companies like Wal-Mart and McDonalds. then I thought about coke since it was the same subject and I was drinking one…

And it came to me…. Why is coke so loved? I mean coke has put COCAINE in its drinks to addict people to it. They have had marketing ploys to trick people into buying coke like with the original coke thing. When the people wanted original coke back so they put the new coke in a different can and they bought that. They the one i thought was so cunning and mainpulating was the Sub-limonal messages in movies and shows to make you want coke(Now illegal I believe)

So my thought in full now is “Why isn’t coke out there as a company people ‘despise’ or ‘boycott’? They don’t drink coke because of their health but doesn’t mean they don’t like coke the company or anything.”

Just an idea i had and wanted to put out there because its been bugging me for 2 days now to put it up but haven’t had the time.

Update:And additional thought i forgot to add here is that one reason people dislike these companies is their size and influence. Coke is pretty influential don’t you think? so is McDonald’s yet McDonald’s is disliked by many and coke… the pretty little(not really little, but you know what I mean) angel who gives us these wonderful line of drinks called soda which I drink like water… lol

WO HO! My Studios site is running!

Well as you know I’m a web developer/designer. I live for the web. I even have my own professional website, made by yours truely him self. Now that was only my Personal site. It had downloads, Contact, Resume, Profile(Home page) and cool other things. You may have also noticed the menu bar. It has that very long animation that I think makes it the coolest menu I’ve ever made. Well on the end I have a “Chris-Portela.com Studios” button and that usualy lead to a placeholder for studios.chris-portela.com … Not anymore. The website is running with a couple quirks and I’m very happy! Soon I’ll fix the stupid prices page and the dumb errors visual studio made when publishing it.

So now you have a nice website to contact me about making a website! I think that this is going to help alot…

My First Post.

Well I’ve restarted this blog. Really I’ve had it since 2007 BUT I kinda stoped using it UNTIL now when i found out that blogFlux tells people about my blog. So I’m going to try it out again and focus on whatever I want. LOL

Anyways First post and I want to say HI!
